Yoga Trigger Point 1

An alternative self-healing modality, shaped by a combination of traditional Indian, Chinese, Thai, and Japanese practices, you will learn to apply physical pressure to specific points in your body to release tension (blockages) and promote energy flow throughout the body.

Many of us are familiar with pain and discomfort in our bodies, but these concerns are often overlooked and left unaddressed. When there are injuries, strains, stress, and traumas to our muscles, one of the ways our bodies react is by contracting and shortening muscle fibres. This reaction is thought to protect us from further (possible) injuries. However, when this happens, our range of motion is compromised, limiting flexibility and increasing tension and pain in our bodies. Left uncared for, this then creates a never-ending cycle of discomfort, pain, and frustration.

In the Yoga Trigger Point 1 Course, you will learn to create awareness around the energetic pathways in our bodies and their surrounding organs/meridians, directing your attention to areas of tension to the source of the issue. In Part 2 the focus goes to the source (eg. head, stomach) which can be outside of the physical pain, offering a more targeted approach. With the correct application of the technique, the results speak for themselves.

Learning how to deal with tension and pain in the body is best done by taking a course to help yourself. This course is an invaluable tool for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, health coaches, physiotherapists, masseuses, and housewives.  It will provide more knowledge and support to effectively adjust your student’s postural alignment, with a focus on the meridians.

Upon completion, you will receive a Yoga Trigger Point 1 & 2  course certification. This course is a component of the Integrated Therapeutics Pathway™ Course.
